A Simple Gift

It's my mother's birthday today (October 2) and She's now 62 years old.

Time flies so fast. It seems like yesterday when she was yelling at me to wake up already and prepare to go to school. But some things never change, she still yells at me (a lot) but now it's to wake me up and prepare to go to work.

As much as I would like to spend time with my parents, my job is quite far from my parent's home so I had to live in an apartment near my workplace. I only get to go home every week or every two weeks, depending on my schedule.
I see my mom's face light up every time I enter the house but she gets a bit sad when I seem really tired.

Today, I asked her "Nanay, what gift would you like to receive for your birthday?"
She replied, "I don't want anything material, I'm just happy that you're all here. Look how big our family is!"

I cried. (hahahahaha so emotional)

I always thank the Lord for giving me a loving family and no words can express how much I love them.

Happy Birthday, Nanay! I loooove you so much and I pray for your good health so we can live a fulfilling life and turn our dreams into reality.
